The 5th annual American Cancer Society’s An Evening of Wine & Song is a one-of-a-kind experience, featuring a 3-course dinner, a selection of Clos LaChance wine, cancer research updates, and live performance by award-winning songwriters Lee Thomas Miller and Wendell Mobley – all set against a picturesque backdrop of rolling vineyards.
Funds from the Evening of Wine & Song fund the American Cancer Society’s work in Research. Your support and attendance will help improve the lives of people with cancer and their families and ensure that everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

Lee is a full time songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee.
Lee has charted 15 years worth of singles with, to date, 7 of them reaching #1. These songs have reached radio plays in excess of 10 million spins.
Most recently he co-wrote the Brother’s Osborne single “It Aint My Fault” which reached the top 10 and earned the Brother’s a Grammy for their performance.
Lee is a 3 time Grammy award nominee and has won other major industry awards including Song of the Year at the Country Music Association awards (in Nashville) and Academy of Country Music awards (in Las Vegas) as well as Music Row Magazine and Nashville Songwriter’s Association International annual awards. He has also won multiple “Songs I Wish I’d Written” awards as voted on and given by the Nashville Songwriter’s Association as well as 11 BMI awards.
Lee has had success also as a record producer. He produced a pair of top 20 hits on recording artist Steve Holy including his 2006 #1 record “Brand New Girlfriend”
His songs have been at number 1 for 25 weeks and they’ve sold over 60 million records, but Wendell Mobley continues to create refreshing lyrics and melodies for the biggest acts and brightest newcomers.
Since making his way from his hometown of Celina, Ohio, Wendell has had huge success with acts including Rascal Flatts (“Take Me There”, “Fast Cars and Freedom”, “I Melt”), Kenny Chesney (“There Goes My Life”, “How Forever Feels”), Jason Aldean (“Tattoos On This Town”).
Randy is the play-by-play commentator for the San Jose Sharks on NBC Sports California, and has held that position for over 30 seasons. He has over 40 years of broadcast experience, mostly in hockey.
George Fisher, MD, PhD received his MD and PhD in Cancer Biology from Stanford Medical School where he is now the Colleen G. Haas Professor of Medicine in the Division of Oncology. His research and clinical focus is on gastrointestinal cancers and he conducts numerous clinical trials of novel therapies for patients with GI malignancies.
Dr Fisher has been an American Cancer Society volunteer for over 30 years and a past president of the California Division of ACS.
Dr. Fisher is currently on American Cancer Society Bay Area Board of Directors.
Christopher T Chen, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained specialist in oncology and hematology. He is also an Assistant Professor in the Division of Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.
Dr. Chen delivers comprehensive, compassionate care for patients in need of early drug development clinical trials and patients with gastrointestinal cancers. As a researcher, he leads the early drug development group and studies how tumor heterogeneity limits the clinical benefit of anticancer therapies in order to accelerate development of novel therapeutic strategies. Dr. Chen’s work has appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Journal of Clinical Oncology, Science Advances, Journal of Oncology Practice, and Health Services Research.
Dr. Chen attended Harvard College, where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in molecular biology. He went to medical school at Washington University in St. Louis on a full-tuition merit scholarship, graduating with Alpha Omega Alpha honors, and did his residency training in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and hematology/oncology fellowship in the combined Harvard Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Massachusetts General Hospital program. As a fellow, he received the NIH T-32 Ruth L. Kirchstein-National Service Research Award in Cancer Biology for his work exploring the molecular structure of metastatic solid tumors.
Dr. Chen is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, European Society for Medical Oncology, and American Association for Cancer Research.
